HonestE-The DJ of Truth: Let's Dance, Feds!

“I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man." ~George Washington_____________ “Loyalty is the realization that America was born of revolt, flourished in dissent, became great through experimentation. Our tradition is one of protest and revolt, and it is stultifying to celebrate the rebels of the past while we silence the rebels of the present.” ~Henry Steele Commager, Historian

WHY DOES OBAMA SEND MORE TROOPS TO DIE IN A WAR THAT HE KNOWS IS LOST? (REAL CONSERVATIVES ARE AGAINST THE WAR!!)

Our common cause:
Our common cause is to save lives, ours and theirs, from dying for nothing in a useless war and occupation--both of them.
Secondarily our common cause is to save the cause of liberty in our own country and save our country from moral and financial ruin.

Do you know why they haven't killed or captured Osama bin Laden yet?
Because doing so would end the larger effort...........what larger effort is that, you ask? Their effort at propping up the military-national-security-industrial-welfare-complex...........that's what the faux WOT is all about.....to give a purpose where none exists. Faux WOT for what? The reality, folks, is that one of Osama bin Laden's stated objectives was to draw the U.S. into a long-protracted war and financially bleed the United States slowly to death. And our great United States Federal Government, idiots that they are, are giving to Osama exactly what we wants by remaining in Afghanistan which is bleeding us financially and morally. Don't give the terrorists what they want.....get out of Afghanistan!!!! The Afghan war is lost. Staying in Afghanistan gives both comfort and aid to the terrorists by giving them what they most want: to financially and morally bleed America dry.
BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't give the terrorists the gift of American financial ruin.

"Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak."
~John Quincy Adams

"Over grown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty."
~George Washington

To be against the war, to be against nation-building and Empire, and to be against big-government and big government equals a big Pentagon budget and other entitlements programs, and to be in favor of preserving civil-liberties for all, including the right to bear arms, (I stand for all of the U.S. Constitution, not just the parts of it I like..hey, I used to go hunting as a young man too), to be these things is be a true-Conservative. If Republicans can reform themselves from borrow-and-spend Pentagon-Liberals, perhaps one day, they can be conservatives too. Don't confuse principles with ideological rigidity.
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/article.php?view=1056
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/article.php?view=1051

A party that espouses and embraces racial hatred while championing borrow-and-spend budgets, big-military and intelligence expenditures is not a conservative party. Did you know it was the Republican Party that issued the Emancipation Proclamation by Abraham Lincoln? How did this come to be? It came to be through a hundred years of abolition activism that produced that Republican Party, that American president, that American civil-war, and that Emancipation Proclamation. (Don't worry, activism influences policy quicker in the Internet Age). Activists are leaders and politicians are followers..if you don't like the current Republican Party, then change it.

Am I a Progressive or am I a Conservative?? Hmmmm....I don't know nor do I have to decide because at the end of the day, I am simply an American citizen with an opinion to offer...I mean, c'mon, if you can't speak your mind in America, then what can you do in America? There are many smart, politically independent Americans. Come together, people.....because at the end of the day, there really exists no Left or Right or Center, there really just exists us, we Americans together bonded in common purpose.

I simply care enough about my country to speak out in the pursuit of peace and justice to bring the troops home now!!! Furthermore, in my experience, if one leads by setting an example, I have learned that others are sure to follow. If one leads by standing upon principle, many others are sure to follow. My fellow Americans, I urge you to be that catalyst; be that leader; be that person who sets the example for others to follow. You can do it. You do have the power. You can inspire others. Any person willing to risk placing the needs of their country or their world, as they see it, before their own needs can lead their fellow citizenry in a new direction. You must first believe in yourself, you must have faith in your own sense of self-empowerment and you must trust your fellow citizens to see the rationale of the principled stand you take by choosing to make up their own minds to follow your cause. So whatever cause is dear to your heart, I know you can make a difference. Do it.

Stop placing your faith in politicians to change things and start placing faith in yourself to change things.

You don't have to be Mother Theresa, Rabbi Heschel, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Harvey Milk, Cesar Chavez or Yitzhak Rabin to make a difference. Remember, these people were people just like you: Each of them did bear both positive and negative traits, each of them bore a variety, range and frequency of emotions; each of them bore varying degrees of love, of hate (they certainly hated oppression and injustice didn't they?) and of nonchalance. Each of them bore different sexual proclivities. Each of them achieved amazing feats. Each of them made many mistakes during of the course of their lives. Each of them had their own faults. Each of them slept, ate food, crapped, urinated and washed themselves. Each of them educated themselves and others. Each of them spoke out. Each of them pursued justice. Each of them led by example. Each of them stood upon their principles. What made them noted had much less to do with the eloquence of their words and much more to do with the fire in their hearts; much more to do with their willingness to take risks on behalf of their fellow human brethren; much more to do with their action of leading by speaking out and taking other actions. As a human being, remember that you share your common humanity with these people. You don't have to be Mother Theresa, Rabbi Heschel, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Harvey Milk, Cesar Chavez or Yitzhak Rabin to make a difference. You need only be yourself. They were unique and you are unique. You can do it with principles, patience and perseverance. You can make a difference, yes you can. So if you care, then I hope you choose to do it. Believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Activists, not soldiers, are the chief defenders of freedom, liberty and democracy. Activists are leaders and politicians are followers...so lead, speak out, take action and agitate and agitate and agitate!!!! And to be clear..I'm not a full-time activist, folks, I work a professional job at a corporation during the day...hey, you know, I have bills to pay too. I do my duty as a citizen of this nation during my evenings and weekends. I consider myself an evening and weekend activist and a principled patriot. My sense of duty, honor and country compel me to speak out. You can too. There is nothing to fear. You own this government, you pay for it, it is yours. You should never fear the government, however, you should participate in it----that is the way a democracy works. If you work all day, obey just laws (not all laws are just...where there is no victim, there is no crime) and participate in democracy in your evenings and weekends by speaking out and getting involved, like I do, well, then I have good news for you: you are a model American citizen in a functioning democracy. Yes, you can. Yes, I can. Yes, we can.

Why is the First Amendment first? It is first because it is the most important amendment of them all.
If Free Speech was always pleasant to hear, never challenged anything and was never rude or upsetting, then it would be Limited Speech wouldn't it? Free Speech is sometimes unnerving, upsetting and difficult to listen to, difficult to absorb and sometimes rude but that is also what makes it Free Speech.

If we oppose Tyranny to be visited upon our lives at home in America, then we must also oppose Tyranny to be visited upon the lives of others abroad!! There's no such thing as bombs of benevolence. End the war!!! A principled patriot opposes war. A principled patriot extols liberty. A principled patriot thinks for himself. A principled patriot is willing to risk putting the needs of his country before his own. A principled patriot tells the truth. Try to be a principled patriot, we each have flaws, but we can try.

"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves."
~Abraham Lincoln

Instead of delivering analysis, insights and critique this week, I would prefer to simply ask some questions. As you can see, I don't write articles in the traditional sense....a single topic with a neat introduction, body and conclusion--that's too formal for me, what I do is create written mosaic motifs that cover a lot of ground....that's what this is for me, this thing that I do....it is a form of art and I am an artist, a citizen, a patriot and a human being against the war. You can be a patriot against the war too.

The Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, number 6 on the Bill of Rights:
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."

Why do we keep paying taxes at all? Why do we succumb to fear? Why don't we unite and rise to the challenge before us?

Why do some people think that they are only one person and what can only one person do? Well, folks, I think that one person can do a whole lot if they act with courage, truth, justice, peace, passion, principle, patience and perseverance. And, I think if we unite we can accomplish great things together.

"There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why...I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"
~Robert F. Kennedy

"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope... and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
~Robert F. Kennedy

Did you know that you can be a Conservative and be tolerant and loving toward your fellow man?

Did you know that you can be a Liberal and still be narrow? I've unfortunately met a few.

Did you know that you can be a Conservative and be atheist....that is, one who does not believe in G-d?

Did you know that you can be a Liberal and be a faithful, devout religious follower?

Did you know that you can be a Conservative and be against the war?

Did you know that you can be a Liberal and be a warhawk?

Did you know that you can be a gay Conservative, a black Conservative or a Latin Conservative?

Did you know that you can be a straight white-male Liberal?

Did you know that you can be Conservative yet still think that some government is good?

Some Conservatives do: they propose extremist-Conservative cuts like Social Security yet propose extremist-liberal Pentagon spending....and big Pentagon spending is big government, folks.
http://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2010/08/13

Did you know that you can be Liberal yet still think that too much government is bad?
Some Liberals do: they propose we spend a lot of money on Healthcare yet propose small government by opposing extreme-liberal-Pentagon spending and on useless, unjust, needless wars of aggression.

Did you know that most Americans are a little of both Liberal and Conservative? That most are a blend?

Did you know that you can be neither a Liberal nor a Conservative?

Did you know that you can be both a Liberal and a Conservative at once? Yes, you can.

Did you know that you can embrace some Conservative views and some Liberal views at once?

I think ideological purity is bullocks. Rigidity is narrow. You can be a balanced, ideological centrist. How do I know? I am one. I share a few Conservative opinions and I share a few Liberal opinions. You can be a moderate-centrist and principled citizen. There is such a thing as principled ideological centrism. It is a place where conformity to a single ideology is not required. Resist conformity. Be whatever you wish to be.

Did you know that you can be whatever you wish to be?

Did you know that you can define yourself however you darn well see fit? I hope so.

Did you know that there are no absolutes, no cemented definitions of what it is to be an American?

Did you know that you can practice any religion, or none at all, and still be a good American citizen?

Perhaps, you already knew the answers to these questions but I just wanted to ask them anyway.

Again, I strongly advise against retreating into the Left-Right division that disunites us by building walls between us. Build bridges, not walls and remember that every strong bridge is anchored in the rock-face of commonality...what we share in common is the key to building enduring bridges. To be against the war, you do not have favor every other social cause in the world, you are not required to be either a Liberal or a Conservative or both or neither, you can just be a patriot against the war and that is enough. Resist the extremes. Their rigidity is our disunity if we let it. Unite in common purpose against the war.
http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2010/08/12/folly-left-and-right/

I have lived in the North, I have lived in the South, I have lived in the Rocky Mountain West and now I live in California and I can tell you this about the American people: They share a common thread amongst them: A sense of fairness that runs deep in their psyche. Americans, as a general rule, are a fair people who believe everyone has a right to be treated fairly. There are certainly occasions where individuals and small groups espouse hatred and prejudice but by and far, the majority of Americans are a fair-minded people. We are all Americans, folks, so despite all the definitions of what is this and what is that, you can be anything you wish to be. You define you. Don't let others define you...define yourself for that is true individual liberty, individual justice, individual peace and individual choice. Liberty, peace and justice are not always public domains; sometimes they are private, individualistic domains. You can choose, yes you can. Define yourself, be yourself, be flexible and open to change, listen and be heard, change and be changed. Know thyself and to thine ownself be true. And above all, never forget to ask, "Why?"

Who said that? Go look it up...

Resist their labels, resist any labels, resist influences from outside to define the person you are inside.
Is this a radical thought, do you think?

"We're caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly...I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be."
~Martin Luther King, Jr.

I don't know, Mr. Obama, do you really see yourself getting re-elected with Americans turning against the Afghan war?

Now off on a tangent:

Where there is no victim, there is no crime....the violence that the War on Drugs creates could instead be effectively relegated to the price-wars of the Free-Market. How do I know? American History. Today, you don't see gangs roaming the streets or people killing each other for a drink of alcohol, do you? No, you don't...at least not since the days of Al Capone and Prohibition anyway. What you choose to digest is your choice and your liberty alone...if you digest things that are good for you, good for you, and if you digest things that are bad for you, then that is your responsibility to deal with. Individual choice trumps the kind of moral indignation that uses the long-arm of the government to control you. That's the funny thing about the Puritanical Religious Right...they seem to be more concerned with what's going on in your backward that what is going on in their own..and that's not very Conservative, is it? I don't do drugs, not anymore, now I just drink, but I do maintain that what you choose to digest into your own flesh and blood is neither the business nor the purview of the government. Now, you may not agree with everything I say, but I still have every right to say it, and I would hope that you think for yourself because you can decide on your own. You have the power.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

"The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
~Albert Einstein

And Babe Ruth stepped up to the plate slowly and confidently, pointed his smooth, wooden bat toward and over the CENTERfield fence, and then as the pitch came rolling in fast and hard, he knocked that sucker right over the CENTERfield fence, outta the park!!! Oh my!!!!! Oh, Babe, how we art miss thou? Think for yourself, define you. Come together, people, come together. We are all Americans together.

The Score: War Party: 2 American people: 1; The American people are up to the plate, it's the bottom of the fifth, there is one out; runners are in scoring position on 2nd and 3rd.
We can do it, yes we can. We can if we unite as a team. Step up to the plate. Wage peace!!!
